Spring 2012
Vol. 2, issue 2
EXCITEMENT IS IN THE AIR!
This is a great time of year for everyone at
the Claims and Litigation Management (CLM)
Alliance. We’re working hard to create a year
full of wonderful education and networking
opportunities. This year, we’re also looking
forward to rolling out some new resources
designed to help our Members and Fellows and the companies and firms they
represent be more successful in the years to come.

We recently announced the creation of our Litigation Management
Professional of the Year Award. This award program will recognize one
professional from each of the following categories: insurance/TPA, corporate
and outside defense counsel. Winners will be selected based on their passion
for and contributions to the litigation management industry. The award
recipients will be announced during the CLM Annual Conference.

We’re heading to sunny San Diego from March 28 to 30 for the 2012
Annual Conference. The program is filled with an amazing array of speakers
and roundtable sessions, all designed to provide participants with tangible
knowledge they can use in their everyday jobs. In addition to a significant
educational experience, we will be having fun too — golfing at Torrey Pines,
dining aboard the USS Midway aircraft carrier and getting a taste of Mexico
during a reception in San Diego’s Old Town.

The Annual Conference is also an opportunity for the CLM community to give
back. On the first day of the conference, attendees can choose from four
volunteer events and approximately 200 have already volunteered. On the
last day of the Conference, we will be presenting the Wounded Warrior
Project with the contributions raised from our golf outing. The Wounded
Warrior Project helps injured service members by providing programs that
nurture the mind and body as well as encourage economic empowerment
and engagement.

LitigationManagement is published
quarterly and covers news and topics
of interest to litigation management
professionals and the attorneys with
whom they work.
We’re also pleased to be rolling out a new product, CLM Tracker, which is free
to Members and Fellows. The system tracks your continuing education credits
and license and certification expiration dates. CLM Tracker will automatically
send you email notifications at 60 and 30 days prior to their expiration.
These notices allow you to quickly determine if you have enough continuing
education credits. Continuing education credits from CLM events are
automatically entered into the system and the user can easily add other events.
The free version tracks individual Members and Fellows, and a company
version is also available.
